Petrol Smart Roadster: what changes with a remap
With a petrol engine the remap works through the ECU's ignition, fuelling and turbo boost tables. Re-calibrating them within safe limits releases power that is already there, rather than adding anything to the engine.
Smart Roadster 82 against other Roadster engines
Ranked by power gain against the other petrol Roadster engines (2 in total), the 82 is 2nd, 1 bhp below the Roadster petrol average of 21 bhp.
Across our whole catalogue the average petrol remap adds 27 bhp and 51 Nm, so this engine's 20 bhp and 35 Nm sits below that benchmark.
